Health & Safety in the Construction Environment (RQF)

This course is one of the recognised health and safety qualifications leading to the CSCS Labourers’/Operative (Green) Card for individuals preparing to work in construction site security roles, such as gate control or access monitoring, on UK construction sites.

This course does not replace any legally required SIA licence.

You will take the Level 1 Health & Safety in the Construction Environment (RQF) — an OFQUAL-regulated qualification awarded by Highfield Qualifications and then sit your CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test at an approved, local centre.

The course is completed fully online using a secure Learning Management System (LMS).

You’ll be able to:

• Study at a pace that suits you, from home

• Access all learning materials online

• Sit your exam from home with remote invigilation by the Awarding Body

• Qualify without needing to attend a classroom

This makes it a convenient and flexible way to gain your qualification quickly.

What You’ll Need

To complete the course and exam, you’ll need:

• A laptop or desktop computer (phones and tablets aren’t suitable for the exam)

• Reliable, secure internet access

• A quiet, private space for your exam

What Happens After You Enrol

Once you enrol, your details are securely passed to the awarding body. Your LMS login details will be emailed to you within 24 working hours, so you can start learning as soon as possible.

Important Information

This course provides the regulated qualification only and supports applications for the CSCS Green Card. The CITB Health, Safety & Environment Operatives Test and CSCS card application are completed separately.

You can be signposted to a local CITB test centre to sit your Health, Safety & Environment Test. The test centre may also offer guidance on applying for your CSCS card. Right to Work checks are completed by your employer.
